Belinda Continues Her Bélica Rebrand With Natanael Cano Collab

Belinda continues to embrace the rise of música Mexicana with her new era. On Thursday, Belinda followed her corrido-pop comeback “Cactus” by enlisting corridos king Natanael Cano on tumbado bop “300 Noches.”

Accompanied by Cano and the strums of the requinto guitar, Belinda sings to an ex-love who’s long moved on — even if she has not. The track laces the classic elements of corridos with a poppier piano. “Now we’re two strangers, and it feels strange that even if you left me, I still miss you,” sings Cano, before the pair of musicians duet on the single’s chorus.

“I loved being able to collaborate with Beli for this song,” Cano said in a press release. “I’m a fan of hers and I’m excited to see more female artists raising the flag of corridos tumbados. Belinda put her ‘coquette’ touch on it and it was magical.”

Belinda introduced her new musical era with “Cactus,” a song that took aim at her ex-fiancé and música Mexicana star Christian Nodál in his own genre. “Cactus” was the first song from Belinda after a year of no music. The Mexican pop singer joined Enrique Iglesias on pop-cumbia “Llórame Un Río” from his final album Final Vol. 2. In 2022, she worked with Abraham Mateo on “Me Encantaría,” Ana Mena on “Las 12,” and Lérica on “No Estamos Tan Locos.”

Meanwhile, Cano last joined Bizarrap for a pair of singles, “Natanael Cano: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 59” and “Entre las 20.” He also joined Gabito Ballesteros on “El Boss” and Oscar Maydon on “Madonna.”
